Summary: Renault Grand Scenic, 2 litre petrol and LPG. 116,000 miles – that’s less than 10,000 per year on average – really low. Mot until Nov 2018. 7 seats, 2 of which are fold-flat. Loads of space – ideal for a large family, camping etc I drove 320 miles in it yesterday – it was just perfect. Sweet 2 litre engine. Lots of power, but very cheap to run on LPG. Smooth auto gear box. Traction fluid was flushed and changed a couple of services ago. Lots of little cubby holes and storage. Electric connections, electric windows, wing mirrors, sunroofs. Cd multichanger, cd radio. Under steering stereo control. 2 ingenious stow away, pop up seats. Ice cold air con. Proper Renault roof bars. I don’t have the keys for these to remove them, otherwise I’d sell them separately. Comes with original log book and manuals etc. It only needed a few things doing to get it through. Indicator bulb, and dash reset. And the best bit…. A 60 litre, under-slung, fully sequential LPG system. This isn’t one of you’tank in boot, or spare tyre’ systems. But a brilliant lpg tank housed under the rear of the car. And costs so little to fill. The only issue is that it’s not auto-switching from petrol to LPG when you start up. It does manually switch over – just push a button. Apparently it just needs a fuse to fix it – but I can’t even find the fuse. I’m not the most mechanically minded. There are plenty of small dings and scratches to the exterior. This isn’t to say it doesn’t look good. It looks stylish, and cleans up a treat. The front passenger seat doesn’t adjust. I’ve been told this is the matter of changing a screw. I’ve just never got round to it, as I haven’t needed to. This really is a great car. Yes, it’s not the prettiest, but it’s honest, and really cheap to run. But the new car is one that I’ve always wanted, so i had to have it. But I can’t keep both, so the Scenic has to go. It has a good 100 miles of petrol in it. The LPG tank is empty, as I used it all on my mega-trip yesterday. But – if the car sells close to the asking price, I’ll fill the gas tank up too. Anyone who doesn’t adhere to this will be reported. Cash on collection please. All the best, and good luck.
