Finally having to let let go our families beloved silver dream machine. Has there ever been a better designed family car? We’ve taken her all over these fair island of ours. She’s the perfect camp mobile. Sweet 2 litre engine. Man, it pulls like a train. So funny to burn boy racers at the traffic lights in your silver family waggon. Smooth auto gear box. Absolutely no issues here. Traction fluid was flushed and changed a couple of services ago. A billion cubby holes, electric connections, electric windows, wing mirrors, sunroofs. Cd multichanger, cd radio. Under steering stereo control. 2 ingenious stow away, pop up seats. Ice cold air con, 2 keys. Proper Renault roof bars. Comes with original log book and manuals etc. A full years MOT! Just put it through, and it only needed a few things doing to get it through. Indicator bulb, and dash reset. And the best bit…. A 60 litre, underslung, fully sequential LPG system. This isn’t one of you’tank in boot, or spare tyre’ systems. But a brilliant lpg tank housed under the rear of the car. And costs so little to fill. 24 quid at our local supplier! Man I wish I was mechanically minded lol. I bought this motor from a painter/decorator in brum. He used it as his work vehicle, and didn’t really care about cosmetics. There are specks of paint and small scratches everywhere. As well as many dents in the door sills where seat belts have been trapped. It looks lovely when given a cleaned up though. But just beware, this isn’t showroom lol. There are plenty of small dings and scratches to the exterior. Personally, I find the condition liberating. When you’ve got 3 kids, the last thing you want is to fret and worry yourself about scrapes and muddy boots. It was perfect for us. This isn’t to say it doesn’t look good. It looks proper stylish, and cleans up a treat. The front passenger seat doesn’t adjust. I’ve been told this is the matter of changing a screw. We’ve never got round to it, as my Mrs fits in it perfectly. This really is a great car. Yeah it’s not the prettiest, but it’s honest, and mega cheap to run.
