Whilst its practicality is unbeatable it also manages to look pretty stylish and youthful. Not only does our Grand Scenic look the part – but is also highly practical. It is a proper 7 seater with the rear seats taking just a couple of seconds to fold in or out of the boot floor when needed. I find the design and folding action of the rear seats in the Grand Scenic to be a much neater and user-friendly design to that applied by rival offerings. It’s supremely comfortable, with plenty of room for all occupants, and with the rear seats folded a huge boot for all their luggage. Neat sun-blinds are fitted to the rear door windows – ideal for keeping the kids cool on long journeys. There are also neat under-floor storage areas for all the kids toys and oddments that would otherwise be littering the floor. The Brakes are strong and inspire confidence. With 6 well-chosen ratios the auto gearbox has a tiptronic function which makes the most of the engines power and provides relaxed cruising. Performance is very impressive and this car is capable of effortless long distance cruising and is very quiet and refined.
