Cenic continues that tradition. It comes with seven seats as standard, while the practical interior is spacious and full of family-friendly features including almost endless amounts of storage. It’s also good to drive and extremely refined on longer journeys. With a smooth ride and a quiet cabin. This particular car has been used by me and my family for the past 6 months (it is currently registered in my name and is in daily use). During this time it has been outstanding in every way, offering a fantastic combination of performance, space and comfort which have impressed me to the point I will probably be replacing it with a similar model for the next 6 months (being in this job I only ever keep a car 6 months before I sell them). This model of grand Scenic was launched in 2009 and it. Feels much better built than previous models. Please note that this is the 2 litre DCI model which is a much more powerful and refined car than the lower spec 1.5 and 1.9 litre models. With this engine and a 6-speed manual gearbox, our Grand-Scenic offers superb level of performance including a top speed of 127mph! In addition, this car is a sought after “Dynamique Tom-Tom” model which has an elevated interior and exterior specification over the standard models including a large glass roof with electric sunroof and satellite navigation. As you can hopefully tell from the pictures, our car has been well looked after, despite having covered 111k miles and is well presented with smart metallic blue coachwork and silver embellishment trim which, along with 17 alloy wheels and sporty front foglights, are signature features of the Dynamique specification. As you can hopefully tell from the pictures, t his is a very attractive looking car which has a clean and smart interior which has been fully valeted in preparation for sale. Whilst its practicality is unbeatable it also manages to look pretty stylish and youthful. Not only does our Grand Scenic look the part – but is also highly practical. It is a proper 7 seater with the rear seats taking just a coupe of seconds to fold in or out of the boot floor when needed. I find the design and folding action of the rear seats in the Grand Scenic to be a much neater and user-friendly design to that applied by rival offerings. It’s supremely comfortable, with plenty of room for all occupants, and with the rear seats folded a huge boot for all their luggage. Neat sun-blinds are fitted to the rear door windows – ideal for keeping the kids cool on long journeys. There are also neat under-floor storage areas for all the kids toys and oddments that would otherwise be littering the floor. This is a really well thought out car – If like me you have a young family it is hard to beat. What’s more, the. Rear seats can be independently slid fore and aft or folded away to give a huge load area that would rival some vans. Our Grand-Scenic features keyless entry and a push button start which is aesthetically pleasing and easy to use. Another neat feature is the automatic handbrake, which engages with a press of a button and disengages itself automatically when you go to pull off – This makes light work of hill starts and also engages itself automatically when you switch the engine off at a standstill. It is a very neat and extremely safe system that also makes room for an extra stowage tray between the front seats, where the handbrake would usually be found on most cars. The variable weight power steering is light and ensures that despite its size, the Grand Scenic is an easy car to drive. Our car is fitted with front and rear parking sensors (the rear sensors were a factory extra and the fronts are an aftermarket extra that have been fitted by a previous owner and can be activated at the touch of a switch). The parking sensors and all-round good visibility ensure that this is a very easy car to park and manoeuvre. Out on the road, the powerful ABS brakes with brake assist make the Grand-Scenic is safe and controllable, even on slippery road surfaces. The cruise control on this model is an absolute gem, which along with a tall 6th gear and comfortable, multi-adjustable seats, make this car a highly capable long distance cruiser. Overall this is an easy car to drive, and a pleasure to own. It is perfect for any family – I doesn’t matter if you need 7 seats or just a practical family car with a large boot – The grand-Scenic caters for your every need and is (in my opinion) a class leader with its dynamic design and clever use of space. Renault are responsible for making some of the most comfortable cars on the road, and the Grand-Scenic is no exception. This car rides and handles better than any other car in its class and there are so many creature comforts that it is impossible not to feel totally relaxed when you stretch out in that luxurious cabin. The powerful 2 litre DCI engine in this model is a smooth performer that also manages a very respectable 42 mpg on a longer run. All 7 seats recline and the middle row also get the benefit of fold out picnic trays which are built into the back of the front seats. There is air-conditioning which blows ice cold and makes the cabin feel light and airy and of course the car benefits from a huge glass roof complete with a large electric sunroof – ideal for when you want some fresh air in the cabin. On the road the Grand-Scenic is as easy to drive as a regular Renault Megane. The visibility is excellent and all the controls are light and easy to use, in particular, the variable weight power steering which is an absolute delight and makes light work of parking manoeuvres. The Brakes are strong and inspire confidence. With 6 well-chosen ratios the gearbox makes the most of the engines power and provides relaxed cruising. Performance is very impressive – With nearly 160bhp, this car is capable of effortless long distance cruising and will average around 42 mpg which is excellent for a 7 seater. I have been particularly impressed with this cars Tom-Tom navigation system which is extremely clear and easy to use. All in all this car is the perfect transport for all the family… I think that the new owner will definitely be impressed. Metallic light blue coachwork.
